From the land of edits

I have no mind. But I like what I'm doing with the Rivals. It's shaping up nicely. More on that later.

Interesting topic, on "I don't want real, I want ideal" on the subject of men in romance novels. I'm too brain dead to blog on my thoughts, but definitely some well thought out opinions floating around. I have read a book with heroine uhhh gas. Didn't drop me out of the scene as much as I'd have expected.

PS Melany Logen, my cowritten author ego received a four star review from Romantic Times for Torc's Salvation! Whoo hoooooooooo.

Newsletter bonanza

Today, the start of a new week, my newsletter just released. It contains a great interview with Kally Jo Surbeck, my news, a new excerpt for Blood Lines: Currents, and more. Anyone joining will receive a copy. They will also be eligible for my monthly contest, this month a $10 gift certificate to Loose Id. The Crayon Chronicles is my little space on the web where I share a lot of news first.

The lovely and talented Michelle Hasker interviewed me for her newsletter. You can read it here. Michelle's intervew with me was a lot of fun. She asked some great questions.

A sad day

My heart and prayers go out to all the victims and families in the horrific tragedy at Virginia Tech today.

Guess where I've been?

Nagshead. We had a good trip despite injury, weather, and illness. LOL yes it was eventful.

I'm back, somewhat rejuvenated, ready for a release and to get to work.

May the muses have vacations

PS. Happy birthday to good friend and fellow author, Raine Weaver! I hope it's very happy.

Yipeeeee skippee

It's done. Heh heh. I finished the writing on Settler's Mine: The Writing. (Edited to add: Uhhhh Settler's Mine: THE RIVALS and Paula is right...I apparently do need a break)

Course we all know, it's not done, it's only just begun. *cues the music*

Because then, come edits and the middle of this book...needs a lot of them. Before I let my editor see it.

Regardless, I'm very happy with Balt, Orion, and Layla. Quite a bit of fun to write.

I'm doing, I'm doing

The kids both made it to school. Just the dog, cat, and myself.

Two more scenes to go! I really like one of the ones I wrote today.
