Friday Five

1. Writing continues. I'm in the home stretch. The home stretch is sexy! LOL. Building up the relationships. I hope to finish next week. *crosses fingers*

2. Lookee lookee! I love Anne Caine. Love this cover. Final edits have gone back. So pretty soon, I should have a release date! If you look over in the Liquid Silver Forums, an excerpt has been posted. Wheee.

3. RT is coming up super fast. Eek. I survived tent camp training, had great weather btw. Cooked over charcoal, fire, in a Dutch over, and in a box over that my leader and I made! Now that I'm through that, gotta focus on getting ready for RT.

4. Finished off my Stroke of Midnight entries that I was judging. I have to say, some very good entries this year. Was very impressed with the quality.

5. Okay, who watched Castle last Monday? Those evil evil people! That ending. OMG. I knew it was a two parter but that ending! I can't wait for Monday night.

May the muses have great covers

Friday Five

funny pictures of dogs with captions

You don't disturb someone reading...I mean really. LOL. When oldest and I read, you do have to get our attention or we're not hearing you.

2. I have finally put music on my Iphone. LOL. The hubby has been after me for months. I just never seemed to get around to it. I have odd tastes. I put quite a bit of Jonathon Coulton on and put a lot of my "old" alternative stuff, Eve 6, Rancid, Wheatus, Dave Matthews, Blink 182. I really need to buy some Sugarland, too. *makes a note*.

3. I'm doing tent camp training this weekend for Girl Scouts. I will be gone from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon with little Internet access. Withdrawal will commence in 5.4.3... At least it's going to be pretty! 75ish on Sat with rain moving in late on Sunday. Temps at night will be chilly, 40's but not 30's. Thank goodness. I'll be hiking Saturday.

4. I'm finally getting a rhythm down on the Rogue. I have about 15 K left I think. One of the things I'm doing, is giving up on writing every day. *sigh* It's been a pipe dream for a while now. Instead, I'm trying to keep regular "office" (read "writing") hours a week. We will see how that works.

5. The hubby and I have been discussing Cons. Neither of us like crowds so that's an issue when it comes to them. Most of them are pretty big. However, there are several that we really would like to attend "one day." I wish the hubby were going to PaxEast this year. He's big into gaming and a lot of people he likes/listens to are going, like Will Wheaton, Jonathon Coulton, Paul and Storm, Larry Herb. We said maybe once the kids are older, we can spend a whole year doing Cons LOL. Course I really think both of my kids will like going to Cons themselves. Yeah, I'm raising geeks. What did you expect? *G* I'm a geek myself.

May the muses have science fair due in two weeks

Friday Five

1. Looks just like Mike Rowe LOL. Dirty Jobs is one of my favorite shows right now. "Get ready to get dirty!"

2. I went to a concert last night! Jonathon Coulton and They Might Be Giants. I LOVE Jonathon Colton. Just him and his guitar for most of the songs. He did pull out a sound board (not sure of term but it did drums and other sounds). Called us a bunch of dorks when we all cheered at the sounboard. LOL. He didn't play one of my favorites, Code Monkey, but did a lot of songs I like, like Future Soon, Ikea, and re: Your Brains. They Might Be Giants were pretty good but their sound was distorted. Not sure why. They had a great stage show with LED lights and lots of energy. Great evening. I hope Jonathon Coulton comes back SOON!

3. Yes, I'm writing and the end is in sight. I just got to a major plot twist and had a ball writing it. I think I've got about 20 K to go. I'm finally kicking the butt of this book!

4. Did anyone watch Castle? OMG. It dealt with a bondage club. Lots of skin and playing around with the sexuality of it all. And it wasn't even sweeps.

5. Have to shut down one cookie booth, start and shut down another cookie booth, start yet another cookie booth, and have 1 girl scout meeting and one birthday party this weekend. Just a lil busy. I hope I find some time to be at the keyboard!

May the muses have Girl Scout cookies

Funny Pictures of Cats With Captions

1. This is my view some mornings. Looks just like Diva Kitty. In the cold weather, she's taken to sleeping in our bed.

2. Writing has gone pretty well this week. I hope to find some time to write over the weekend. We'll see. Have cookie booths and going to hang with my sisters tomorrow night. Have a sock hop tonight.

3. Let's see this month: Working 4 cookie booths, taking a tour of the SPCA with 11 Brownies, working at the SPCA, 15 page questionnaire for tent camp training, 3 hour prep meeting for tent camp training, Passionate Ink online board meeting, 2 night three day tent camp training, working to finalize exhibitors for a spring carnival, judging six entries in a contest, writing, and all the odds and ends I normally do. *blinks* Just a lil busy.

4. We are waiting on some news. And it's been put off once due to the snow, now it's been put off again. It's one of those, can't really move on until you know type things. *siiiiiighhhhh*

5. Not sure what I'm going to do when the snow piles are all gone. They've become a part of the landscape.

May the muses have snow

Today is Dr. Seuss Day

No matter how large or how small. How short or how tall. With a cat or a dog. In the sunshine or the fog. Outside or in the house. With a hamster or with a mouse. Put it on your little nook and...
Read a book!
