2. Friends by Michael W. Smith—makes me think of high school. I used the lyrics in a speech and can still remember looking at the sea of faces, some I’d known for a dozen years and most I’d not see again for along time. Vogue by Madonna does, too, but I remember going out with friends and LOL voguing.
3. I will be here by Stephen Curtis Chapman—the hubby. My sister sung this at our wedding. Lost in Your Eyes by Debbie Gibson is another one. We smooched a lot to that song *G*
4. Deuces are Wild by Aerosmith—I rarely use songs for characters but for some reason this is Darryl’s song. Darryl is in one of my under the bed books that I need to rewrite. He’s an awesome character, I see so clearly. And I will one day…and tell his buddy Jeff’s story, too. There’s a four part connected book thing going there.
5. Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi—Deadliest catch! I can’t hear that song without picturing boats on the Bering Sea
6. Kiki Kangaroo by Steve Weeks—the youngest. It just suits her. It always has.
7. Any song about Harry Potter—the oldest. She’s obsessed most days. She needs to find more books to read LOL. There are a few parody songs about HP. She loves all the one she can hear *G*
8. She’s an Eagle when she Flies by Dolly Parton—my grandmother and mother. They both went through a lot and had a lot of inner strength.
9. Coal Miner’s Daughter by Loretta Lynn—makes me think of my dad. He loved Loretta Lynn
10. Desperado by The Eagles—I think of cowboys… One lone figure riding the range.
11. Ticks by Brad Paisley—I want to write a story about this song badly. It’s got such a sensual beat. Characters talk to me every time I hear it.
12. Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down—I think of Sherrilyn Kenyon. I think because Ash liked Three Doors Down.
13. Don’t want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith—My sister, mom, and me took a road trip to Savannah when my nephew decided to move there. We heard this song constantly. Every time I hear it, I think about that trip.
